'NO MORE TAP WATER'
How it works:
- Works immediately to remove Chlorine, Chloramine or whichever sterilising agent your water authority uses.
- Removes harmful phosphates and metal ions within 24 hours.
- Uses super bacteria and enzymes to remove nitrites and organic ammonia containing compounds in the water.
- Uses more bacteria and enzymes to remove nitrates and convert them to nitrogen.
- Populates filters with a healthy culture of all necessary families of bacteria for maintaining a healthy pond.
- Ensures the correct balance of trace elements and vitamins to healthy fish.
Instructions for Use:
Use one Tablespoon (25 grams) per 100 gallons (450 ltrs) of new tap water added to a small amount of pond water - stir to dissolve. This will then leave a milky suspension - so leave for a few minutes then add to the pond including any undissolved material
Chlorine, Chloramine and heavy metals will be removed within half an hour if the filter pump, or fountains etc are switched on. If you don't have these then swirl the water by hand to disperse over the pond area.
Phosphates will be precipitated within 24 hours. Nitrite removing will reduce nitrites within a few days and without further ammonia will be converted into nitrates.
Denitrifying bacteria will reduce this to atmospheric nitrogen provided there are areas without air in the pond, such as filters, rocks or a deep layer of suitable substrate in the aquarium or pond.
Filters will become quickly populated with all the necessary bacteria required to maintain a pond in healthy condition.
In new, or completely cleaned out ponds, plants may be be added on the same day as treatment and fish can start to be added after 24 hours if good aeration is provided (e.g. fountains, waterfalls, or air stones etc, or after 48 hours if aeration is not provided.
1kg treats 2,000 gallons (9,000 ltrs)
Square and Rectangular Ponds: Calculate the volume of your pond
(you can use our pond volume calculator - click here) or work it out manually - Length (ft) x Width x Depth x 6.23 = number of gallons - if you wish to have this in litres then multiply by 4.55 to give you the total litres ..
Circular Ponds: Diameter (ft) x diameter2 x average depth x 5 = number of gallons x 4.55 to give you the total litres.
