'NO MORE Nitrite & Nitrate' - Sounds to good to be true .. but we understand that this product from Aquatic Industries really works .. and that has to be good news for Koi and pond keepers everywhere, as Nitrite, like Ammonia, is also poison -which can sometimes take months to get the levels down to a safe level .. Nitrate has always been a problem to remove from the Koi Pond ... so this product is an additional bonus ...
How it works:
- Uses super bacteria and enzymes to remove nitrites and nitrates in the water.
- Digest organic matter to stop new nutrients forming and clear the water.
- Ensures the correct balance of trace elements & vitamins for healthy fish.
- Starves aeromonas pseudomonas, vibrio and other pathologic bacteria and quickly out-competes them.
Instructions for Use:
This product will only remove nitrite if your pond has an adequate filtration system and will only remove nitrate if your pond has a biofilter containing media that allows for the improvement of water in the absence of air (anaerobic filtration) (e.g. bioballs). No more Nitrite /Nitrate will remove Nitrite first and may take up to a week.. Nitrate levels may temporarily rise during this time.
First test your water for Nitrite and Nitrate using a test kit - this will give you a reading for Nitrite/Nitrate in milligrams per ltr (mg/l)
Put about a pint (half ltr) of pond water into a jug. Add to the jug a heaped teaspoon full of No More Nitrite/Nitrate for each milligram per litre for every 50 gallons (225 ltrs) of water in your pond - see below if you do not know your pond volume and calculate that now .. once you know this then write it down so you won't forget it again...
Square and Rectangular Ponds: Calculate the volume of your pond (you can use our pond volume calculator - click here) or work it out manually - Length (ft) x Width x Depth x 6.23 = number of gallons - if you wish to have this in litres then multiply by 4.55 to give you the total litres ..
Circular Ponds: Diameter (ft) x diameter2 x average depth x 5 = number of gallons x 4.55 to give you the total litres.
 For example: If you have an Nitrite test that shows 1 mg/l of Nitrite and you have 100 gallons - then you need to use 2 teaspoons of 'No More Nitrite/Nitrate'.
Swirl or stir to desolve the 'No More Nitrite/Nitrate' and leave to stand for a few minutes then add to the pond, including any undissolved materials.
Nitrite will be removed over the next few days and Nitrate will slowly drop - but retreat and add further 'No More Nitrite/Nitrate' if necessary.
Re test after one week and if necessary add further No More Nitrite/Nitrate.
If Ammonia is present then use No More Ammonia and if water changes are necessary then use No More Tap Water (Instant Pond)
Every 100 grams treats 800 gallons (3,600 ltrs) for each milligram per litre of Nitrite/Nitrate.
