All the Nautilus pumps incorporate these efficient and reliable asynchronous motors. Moreover, the superb quality of the materials used (stainless steel for the body, and oxide ceramic for the bearings and shaft) ensure a long, trouble free life. The large cylindrical strainer basket guarantees minimum maintenance. Nautilus pumps are suitable for medium to large size fountains, waterfalls and streams as well as filter systems.

Product Characteristics

• The use of sponges to create Nitrification and de-nitrification zones - With the use of the Blue, Red sponges for nitrification & Green sponges for de-nitrification the toxic nitrogen in ammonia and nitrate are transformed into harmless end products.
• Overflow display at the intermediate lid indicates when maintenance is required
• Integrated sludge drain allows debris and sludge to be released from the filter efficiently and fast.
• The Biotec has a built in thermometer that indicates the current water temperature at all times and in the autumn also indicates when the filter can be dismantled for the winter. There is also a built in pollution level indicator - The water level increases with filter pollution. The float forces the indicator upwards.
• There is also an additional connector for adding oxygen via an external aerator pumps (Oase AquaOxy see further down)
