In order to get the most from a
pumps capacity it is important that you connect the correct size
hose with the greatest diameter possible for that particular
pump. Inadequate hose diameters or angles and flow through
obstructions created from hose connections will affect the flow
rate. Also a large capacity of water will increase friction loss
so a larger capacity pump will be better suited.
