SK-1 FLOATING SKIMMER
At last we have found another superb little surface skimmer that is an easy 'Add-On' to your pond... no longer do you have to tolerate that floating debris or those Autumn Leaves ...

Many of us, when we build a pond, forget all about a surface skimmer - that is until it is too late ... NOT ANY MORE!

Now you can add a efficient & effective surface skimmer with a minimal amount of work attached ...

Clears pond of surface debris and D.O.C. foam bubbles and is designed to blend into the water surface ...

Like all Surface Skimmers, the water needs to be passed through some sort of filtration unit prior to the water being returned to the pond ...

For Small Ponds an ideal pump for use with these In-Pond Skimmers are the Oase Aquamax 10,000 - and the Hidroclean, or our New Cartridge Filter are both an ideal method of filtering the water prior to return to the pond.

If your pond is not fitted with a surface skimmer then it will greatly benefit from the SK-1. A floating skimmer adjusts to the water level within the pond. Mounted on the poolside this unit will keep the surface of the water free of dust, oil film and leaf debris.

The benefits of this are a much greater uptake of dissolved oxygen, fewer suspended particles, less maintenance and better visibility.

The floating skimmer will adjust to the water level within your pond.

Simply Connect the skimmer to a dry mounted pump such as a ITT Marlow AG Series - Speck Badu Magic or even an Oase Aquamax - the choice is yours ..

Connections for 1 1/2 inch hose or an optional 1 1/4 inch female thread. Supplied with brackets for fixing to poolside

The returning water can pass through a filtration system or directly via the skimmer, creating a strong current for your koi to swim in and enjoy

The unit comes with a white plastic strainer basket for collecting debris.

A stainless steel basket is available with a much larger capacity at an additional price

We even supply you with your own internal Vacuum - simply connect the specially provided Vac Plate that is supplied with your SKI Skimmer to a flexible hose which acts as a suction hose and at the other end all you need is one of our Vacuum Kits.

Our Vacuum Kit comprises of an extending pole 6ft to 12ft and a suitable hoover head similar to the one shown here which is available as an extra or as part of the Vac Kit

Please note that it may be necessary to install a 'Check Valve or Non Return Valve' on the suction side of the skimmer to hold the primed water ... this would normally be fitted in the section from the pipe that runs across the top of the pond and the inlet on the skimmer unit ..
