In the
lower two photo's you will notice the Evolution Aqua Stainless
Steel Filtration Units which are to be used on this Koi pond
installation ... please note the benching to the bottom edges of
the pond .. this benching is extremely important to obtain the
best water flows within the pond and also provide the shape to the
bottom of the pond where this benching continues towards the
bottom drains which will then hopefully draw the waste and debris
down the bottom drains and deposit these where it should be
deposited - within the primary settlement chamber of the
filtration system ..
So having completed the construction of the main
area of the pond itself - the next jobs were to start adding the
features, such as building the 'Coral Rock' walls to the
filtration house and to make up the pipework that would provide a
water wall - this had to be built into the wall and this can be
seen in the last photograph above - 1.2" White ABS pipe was
used for this purpose ... and also shown in the photo you will
notice that a pergola type construction was being built over the
actual filtration area ...
Here are some more photo's showing the
progressive work as it was being done .. the first one on the
right below shows our customer showing a little appreciation to
one of his workers who later got the sack for burying a couple of
the nozzles for the water wall within the Coral Rock wall ... no
mercy given...
