Please note that the top and stem are supplied as standard and is built into the price shown - but the clamping ring for use with a liner is an optional extra and you will need to use one of those clamping rings if you are going to use a liner - see below.

The whole idea has stemmed from the rather hard task of threading a length of either 1/4" or 1/2" airline down the centre of the 4" or 110mm as it is being put together at the construction stage - which for those of you who have actually fitted these 'Diffusers' will know the hard bit of the job is being able to bring the end of the airline out of the pipework prior to the 4" or 110mm slide valve - which of course you do have to do - proving to be a pain in the butt ! (if you will excuse the expression), but now we have come up with a far better and far easier idea ... We have now introduced another socket into the bottom drain sump - this is for a length of 1" pressure pipe which when fitted correctly, will run along side the 4" or 110mm pipe to the exit area at the filter end of the system - and of course doing it this way you don't have to worry about having to come out before the slide valve - as you are using its own independent pipe which can then come out wherever you choose and close to the actual air pump itself - but of course the end of this 1" pipe must be well above water level - but is really just a matter of common sense.
 

We can if asked supply these 'special' bottom drains with a 1.5" or 2" Air Line Ducting connection if required these will be a special order - please specify this on the 'comments box' on the checkout form.

You can of course use our PVC bottom drains with a liner if you wish .. but you will require one of our PVC clamping Rings listed above:
