THE NEXT IN THE RANGE IS THE 'WESTBURY' Monocular Models: (one eye piece)

The Westbury SP series are high power microscopes with a robust high quality design and finish to an excellent standard. The impressive specifications of this range are considered ideal for the advanced student or professional. Standard features of the series are: Quadruple nosepiece turret. The eyetube units, monocular and binocular, are inclined and fully rotatable through 360 degrees. Rack and pinion coarse and fine focus mechanism.

Full substage which includes an Abbe condenser with an independent focus control (N.A. 1.25), iris diaphragm and filter carrier.
DIN standard parfocal objectives. The high power objectives have retractable front lenses for slide safety. Focus stop. Inbuilt illumination with a 20 watt system controlled by an on/off switch (240 & 110 volts available). Field focusing lens and daylight converting filter.

THE WESTBURY

This is a purpose built full size die cast metal microscope. It has a triple objective turret with achromatic objectives, which contain glass lenses that give an excellent clear image at a low budget price. Two widefield eyepieces x10 and x15, and objectives x4, x10, x40.

The x40 objective has a spring loaded front lens as a safety feature. Magnification range x40 - x500. This may be extended with additional eyepieces. Single focus control. Focus safety stop to prevent slide and objective damage.

Removable stage clips. Iris diaphragm light control. Illumination is by mirror and gimbal, with a substage lamp as an additional accessory. Dimensions 290 x 110 x 160mm Weight 2.5 Kgms.

The Westbury range accessories includes a teaching head (only fits SP30), which consists of a monocular viewing eyetube and a vertical monocular tube with independent focussing to obtain a paralax position with most optical equipment - ideal for photomicrography or the Minicam CCTV camera.

Also available - CCTV attachments, photomicrography heads, polarising attachments and measuring eyepieces.

Winchester SP Series Microscopes

The technical features include a fully focussing substage condenser (N.A. 1.25) with internal iris diaphragm and filter carrier, and a mechanical stage with drop down controls and vernier reference scales. The Winchester models have low position co-axial coarse and fine focus controls. The fine focus is graduated for specimen depth measurement. Slides are protected by a stage focus stop, and the high power objectives have spring loaded front lenses. Both monocular and binocular heads are fully rotating, and the binocular head (SP60) has a magnification factor of x1 with interpupillary and dioptric adjustment.

Optical Specification:
Eyepieces and objectives conform to
DIN standard. x10 widefield eyepieces, and x4, x10, x40 and x100 (oil immersion) achromatic objectives, with numerical apertures of 0.1, 0.25, 0.65 and 1.25 respectively.

Accessories:
A wide range of accessories are available including: photomicrography attachment, dark ground condenser, polariser/analyser, phase contrast (x40 objective only), measuring equipment, additional eyepieces and CCTV adapter.
The binocular head of the
SP60 is not interchangeable with the monocular SP50.
