Koi
Software was formed for the specific purpose of aiding the Koi
Keeping hobbyist.
We are very fortunate to have a battery of
professionals, both on staff, and at our disposal on a
consultant basis.
When we first decided to begin this project
back in 2003, we sought out some of the most impressive talent
available, not only from a software programming stand point,
but from the Koi hobby itself.
Thank you to our Koi Software team for a fabulous start!

Software Programming
Our development team was headed by Michael
Satterwhite. Michael has been active in software development
for over 30 years. He started developing solutions for Oil &
Gas at a refinery in Texas, and quickly progressed to
performing Operating System support on mainframe computers
manufactured by IBM, Control Data Corporation
and Sperry (at the time, Sperry Univac). When
personal computers came on the scene, he saw their potential
early on. When he started working on them, all instructions
for upgrading a system began with the phrase "Make sure your
soldering iron is hot".
Over the years, he has worked on process
control systems, process monitoring system, developed a
trading system for an energy gathering system, and been
active in the Open Source arena. When asked if something is
possible on a computer, he's quick to respond "Wrong question.
Anything is possible. The question is whether or not it's
practical". It is this "can-do" philosophy that he brings to
KoiSoftware. |
