This table you can use as a guide if you do not wish to weigh your fish. It illustrates an approximate relationship between average length and average weight of a Koi. (NB: All Koi develop different body shapes according to bloodline, feed rate, pond design and water current.)

To assist you in calculating the amount of K1 media required or maximum stocking densities, please look at the table below:

Flow Rates & Pond Sizes:

Koi keepers generally turn over the volume of their ponds, through their biological filters every 2 – 3 hours. If extra water current is required this is generally achieved through extra pumps fed from skimmers, waterfalls etc.
