The Answer 410


The Answer 410 was the pathfinder of the three models that are available today - and it was officially launched at the National Koi Show 2001 and was received with great enthusiasm which has been shown to be fully justified since that time ..

The Answer 410 has a maximum flow rate through the 100 micron screen of 2,810 gallons per hour and is suitable for ponds with volumes less than 7,500 gallons which would provide a turnover rate of once every 3 hours - giving sufficient dwell time in the biological side of the system .. this is possible and due to the waste and other debris which cannot pass through the screen of the Answer and is deposited in the primary settlement chamber, where it belongs.. 

Before the Answer much of these waste products did pass through the primary settlement chamber and into the biological side, making it necessary for those biological chambers to be cleaned frequently - but since the screen on the Answer 410 filters out particles greater than 100 micron .. the biological side of the system stays cleaner much longer and the maintenance of that side of the system is minimal.

The Answer 410, like the smaller brothers, can be housed in any settlement chamber where it is possible to achieve a horizontal alignment for the Answer ... we do not recommend that the Answer be installed in the vertical plane.... although many of our customers have installed in this manner and report to us that it is working fine ...

The Answer fits on either 4" or 110mm pipework and it is easily fitted using the special 'rubber boot' which is supplied with the Answer which is fully adjustable .. and even the special tool to enable this to be a very easy job is supplied as part of the kit ...  oh you may need to supply an electric plug and a screwdriver - but that is all ....
 

Maintenance

The Answer 410 has an easy to remove top plate, or lid, and this is held in position by a single knob in the center of the lid, which when required can be removed exposing the screen which is also now extremely easy to remove and to clean using, if possible a Pressure Washer, or a high pressure hose fitted with a jet nozzle...  it takes less than 5 minutes, perhaps once per week, to keep the Answer in good working order .. far - far less time than it used to take to service the filtration system prior to The Answer ...

There is little doubt in my own mind that The Answer has completely changed and revolutionised filtration as we knew it 18 months ago ...  and that The Answer is the finest piece of equipment ever to be introduced to the Aquatic World ....and I recommend it to anyone without reservation ...
