The Answer is beautifully constructed
using the finest Stainless Steel and the photo on the right will
give you just an insight in what this 'The Answer' looks like and
the series of photo's that accompany this feature may help to
explain in a pictorial way how it can be fitted, in this case, to an
existing Prime Vortex .. but as I have said can be fitted to other
systems, such as a Multi Chamber Filter... imagine throwing away
those 'filthy; brushes and for perfectly 'Clean Water' to be passed
into the biological stage and never having to clean out all the
'filth' that used to get past those brushes, ever again ... thus
allowing the biological filtration to get on with the job of
biologically filtering your water.
But how does it work ... ?
The operation of 'The Answer' although simplistic in action is more complicated to explain. The unit is designed to fit onto exit pipework of the prime mechanical filtration chamber, whether pump fed or gravity fed from the pond. The adjustable sleeve (comes provided,) at the base, gives a watertight seal so that all water has to pass through the screen in order to pass onto the next stage, the biological chamber. All water that passes through is therefore filtered down with regards to the solid content. A slide valve can be fitted in order to prevent water from the bio stage being able to
back-flush into the interior of 'The Answer'. The pump draws filtered water, from inside of 'The Answer'.
It is then pumped into a hollow rotor arm, which is also inside. At each end of the arm are nozzles angled at 45 degrees. The water is pumped through these nozzles and in doing so causes the arm to rotate. As it does so, water is forced out at high pressure against the inside of the screen continuously. This effect causes water to backwash through the screen to the outside. The result is that particles lodged on the outside, which are naturally trying to get through, are forced away and eventually settle at the bottom of the container. 'The Answer' therefore will run continuously without blocking, as
all matter hitting the screen will be repelled from it.... please note
that we do recommend that the Screen on any model of The Answer is
removed once per week and washed off inside and out using a pressure
washer if one is available ... this will keep your Answer in
Show-Case condition - remember if you look after this - then it will
look after you ..
