HOW TO INSTALL YOUR
CAREL DIGITAL THRMOSTAT

WARNING

ALWAYS DISCONNECT ALL ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES FROM THE MAINS SUPPLY, BEFORE PLACING YOUR HANDS IN THE WATER.

Installation Instructions;

The unit should be installed by a Qualified Electrician or Heating Engineer.. Ensure the control box is mounted in a position protected from direct water spray (rain, hosepipes, fountains etc) and please bear in mind that the pond controller does not provide a power source for heaters or boilers. It operates like a domestic stat with a pair of contacts which will 'make' a circuit provided by the installer

A round mains cable with a 13Amp plug fused at 3 Amp should be used to supply power to the unit. The supply should be connected to the 2 way terminal marked
      9 for Live +   and   8 for Neutral -

This Equipment is designed for Wall Mounting Only

The unit must be located on a flat surface:-

1. Remove the face panel via the four screws located in the corners.

2. Drill the rear of the case in a minimum of two places to suit the precise location of the unit ensuring the cable gland is positioned at the bottom.

3. Use suitable screws to affix to the desired location.

4. Pass all cables through the cable gland and affix the green connector plugs as detailed above.

5. Plug the connectors into the correct sockets on the rear of the face panel and relocated using the four screws to fasten the face to the case.

NOTE: Do not over tighten the corner screws.

Wiring Instructions

Connect the controller using the Green plugs provided as per the above wiring diagram making sure the power supply is via a standard three pin 13 amp plug fitted with a 13 amp fuse and a Residual Current Circuit Breaker. Pass all cables through the cable gland by making a small slit with a sharp knife.

NOTE: The supplied cable gland must be used and be located at the bottom of the unit.
