Rocks In Your Pond

We are very often asked about Rocks in the Pond ... and we would make the following observations initially, and perhaps a little advice may help ...

Yes, of course Rocks within the pond environment may make that a more natural looking pond, and perhaps that maybe what you are after ....  BUT ...

Rocks just laid on the bottom of the pond can be more of a hindrance and a draw back when it comes to you trying to hoover the bottom of the pond of collected debris etc .. also something that is more overlooked - it will make it extremely difficult for you when you are trying to catch your fish for maybe a closer inspection of to treat an obvious wound ...

If you are going to have Rocks and have made your mind up about this .. then place those rocks round the top edges of your pond on a shelf where they are out of harms way - and also those rocks can form a planting area for marginal plants, should you be also thinking of having such ...

At least those rocks if placed correctly are not going to cause you too many problems when it comes to catching the fish, or when you decide to hoover the bottom of the pond etc ...

Using Rocks in this way ... can provide you with a very attractive more natural looking pond which can be most pleasing to the eye ...
