These skimmers are suitable for salt water aquariums up to 150
litres (33 imp gall) and model required depends on depth of water in
the aquarium. The longer the skimmer's contact tube, the more
efficient the unit will be.

How do they work?
The water enters the skimmer through the inflow holes into the
reaction tube, and is led from the top to the bottom. A wooden air
stone diffuses the air into very small air bubbles. While the air
bubbles rise through the water they remove protein from the water.
The waste foam is produced above the water level and then rises
through the foam tube into the collection cup. In this way, waste
particles and toxic compounds are totally removed from the aquarium.
By an air-lift system the purified water is pumped back to the
aquarium through the outflow tube. Replacement wooden air diffusers
are available for all the above units.
