Aquarium Heaters
If you are new to the hobby of keeping Ornamental
Tropical Fish or an 'old hand' at the game, the importance of the
correct heater-stat for your needs is important......
Buy cheap buy twice, this can be the old, old
saying...........depending on the size the of your aquarium to the
size, and species of the fish that you want to keep...........
All this can have quite an influence on how much you want to spend
on a heater-stat........how secure you want to be if breeding
fish.........
If you keep 'the bigger' fish that can be very destructive, to
ensure that they perhaps won't be able to eat or destroy your
unit.........and that salt water environments or other water
parameters are not going to effect the heater-stats
efficiency........
Just a little tip....... when installing a heater
into your aquarium, always leave the heater in the aquarium (filled
with water) for around ten to twenty minutes before you turn the
heater plug on, this gives the glass and the water temperature time
to equalize. Glass is very unforgiving to changes in
temperature.......... |
