There are several things to bear in mind when choosing the right sort of filtration for your tank. For example, what sort of substrate are you considering for the bottom of the aquarium, some filtration does not work well with certain choices of substrate, the sort of stock and stocking levels you are planning to keep………and also when choosing a particular filter, make sure that it is one that you won’t find a ‘hassle’ to maintain weekly/monthly, or when ever necessary…….

A golden rule to good filtration is never go for a smaller filter than you require – it just will not do the job properly, always if anything go slightly larger……..

Please do note that you cannot over filter, but you can under filter if you choose too smaller option………
