RxP Parasite Treatment
A triple acting treatment for saltwater ich and other parasites
• Not some rotten sugar-vinegar concoction that claims to "make ich
go dormant"
• Not just a pepper sauce, RxPTM treats multiple stages
• Thin consistency - not a barbecue gravy that pollutes the aquarium
• Highly effective, works better than copper, yet leaves no residual
toxic metals after treatment!
• Contains only natural ingredients
• Can be used with most invertebrates (with caution), if you have
strong biological filtration, such as a sufficiently sized wet dry
filter, and a properly adjusted protein skimmer (the hobbyist much
take care since marine parasites are invertebrates – RxP will stress
other invertebrates – read all directions below!)
• Contains no copper or carcinogenic dyes
• Can be used with Sharks, Rays and scaleless fish
• Does not cause lateral line disease, like metal based treatments
do!
• An 8 oz. bottle will treat a 50 gallon tank for one full treatment
(13 days)

Description:
Kent Marine RXP is a triple acting treatment for saltwater
ich and can be used with most invertebrates with caution. Do
not use with lionfish, stonefish, scorpion fish, starfish,
sea urchins, medusa worms, sea apples, sea cucumbers or
nudibranchs!
Directions:
Important: Adjust skimmer daily for good foam production!
Remove carbon. Raise alkalinity to 8 dKH or higher with
Superbuffer-dKH. Shake well just prior to each use! Use at
the rate of 2 teaspoons (10 ml or 2 capfuls from 8 or 16 oz.
container) per 25 gallons (95 liters) of tank capacity every
other day. Continue treatment for seven doses (13 days)
minimum. See below for precautions. For maximum results, on
off days, treat with Poly•Ox, as directed. Use Kent Reef
Carbon after completing treatment to remove product and
perform a major water change (>20%). As a preventative
measure, treat the system for 3 treatments when adding new
fish. Important: In reefs, also use Coral-ViteTM and Tech•ITM
together with a calcium supplement to strengthen corals! As
a dip: Use one capful per gallon of saltwater. Leave fish
for 15 minutes or less. Observe and remove fish if rapid
breathing or other signs of stress occur.
Considerations for use:
Notice: Use of RxP without a strong biological filter or
without strong protein skimming will endanger invertebrates
of all types and can even endanger fish! , (preferred
biological method is a bio-ball type wet dry filter. (Weak
methods include undergravel, Jaubert, and Berlin methods,
the hobbyist is cautioned that these methods may not be
strong enough to prevent difficulties). Protein skimmer must
be adjusted daily for good foam production! High ammonia or
nitrite levels and resulting stress may be experienced with
weak biological methods. Product is necessarily strong
because marine parasites are hardy, and caution by the user
is absolutely required! Do not dose your tank and leave. You
must observe the animals periodically during the day.
All Systems:
RxP is not recommended for lionfish, stonefish or scorpion
fish. Treated fish must be in a reasonably healthy condition
for treatment to be effective and for recovery to occur. It
is necessary, therefore, to begin treatment at the first
sign of infection or even if you suspect infection (i.e. a
suspicious spot)! It is recommended that you keep it in
stock for immediate use. Skimmer must be adjusted daily for
good foam production. The objective of treatment is to have
the level of RxP peak immediately when added, then be
reduced rapidly by the skimmer (see graphs below). Cloudy
water, splotchiness or loss of fish color, excess sliming of
corals, tight closing of corals, or corals refusing to
reopen within a few hours of addition may indicate overdose
due either to poor skimming, poor filtration or overuse. If
this happens, use carbon short term and stop use until
corrected, do water changes as necessary, or move affected
animals. Your reaction to the overdose must be determined by
the parameters of your particular system, the severity of
the reaction of your animals, and your experience and
ability to resolve the problem. RxP is not a dump-it and run
type product!
Reefs:
Product can be used with most invertebrates by experienced
persons, with caution. Since marine parasites are
invertebrates, treating them with this product will stress
other invertebrates. Use with invertebrates carries a
certain amount of risk, however, we at Kent Marine use it
with invertebrates on a regular basis because we know what
to look for and we can react if a problem develops. If you
have expensive hard corals and particularly mushroom
anemones, you may want to remove them prior to use to be
absolutely safe. If you are willing to accept some risk and
closely watch the tank, you may want to leave them in. Use
the product with invertebrates at your own risk. Even if you
remove hard corals and mushrooms, you will not need to
remove the live rock, soft corals, coralline algae etc. and
this will save you a lot of time and effort. We find that
most soft corals, gorgonians, and star polyps have very
little reaction to the product and generally don’t know it
is in the water (You should still observe them closely,
though). Hard corals react more and mushroom anemones can do
well or get hurt fast unless you watch them very closely. Do
not ever use with starfish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, sea
apples, medusa worms, nudibranchs or similar animals, you
will probably lose them! (Remember, RxP is strong enough to
kill free floating ich!)
Some inverts will show sensitivity to RxP use by closing up,
sliming, or reacting in other ways. This reaction may be
temporary and may not indicate any damage to the animal, but
the aquarist must be experienced enough to judge, and
increase skimming or use carbon short term to resolve the
sensitivity. If in doubt, remove the affected invert to
another system! Animals moved in a timely manner will
quickly recover from any sensitivity. Animals most likely to
have adverse reactions to the product are stony corals and
colonial anemones (mushrooms), but carefully observe all
inverts. Reactions will vary due to the condition of the
system and the animal, but look for "tight" closing of hard
corals. This is indicated by the tissue looking as if it has
no thickness or being able to see the skeleton shape which
is not normally visible through the tissue. Mushroom
anemones can react by expelling their internal parts or
beginning to get "slimy" evidencing a "melting" condition,
if this happens, remove mushrooms immediately. Use of the
product with acropora or other small polyped stony corals is
not recommended because it is difficult to determine their
condition until it is too late. Prolonged use,
indiscriminate use, use on weakened inverts or use without
proper skimming or strong biological filtration can cause
damage or loss. For this reason, use with inverts is at the
risk of the user.
Contents:

Zoe Marine
Kent Zoe is a superior vitamin complex for Marine Fish,
Invertebrates, and desirable algae. (Zoe does not contain phosphates
as most competing vitamin supplements do, and will not cause
unsightly algae growth!) It contains aquaculture grade vitamins,
meaning that they are still active after one year in your aquarium!
It is unique because it also contains natural minerals from
spirulina and kelp sources. Competing products are preserved with
glycerin, which is an alcohol and requires 50% concentration to
preserve. Zoe is properly preserved, using less than ½%
preservatives, yet has a 4 year shelf life with no refrigeration.
Just smell the difference! |
 |
Directions:
For wonderful results, sprinkle over or soak fish food in Zoe, as
appropriate. Brine shrimp are particularly good at absorbing the Zoe
overnight in the refrigerator. Add one teaspoon (capful) per 50
gallons tank capacity, directly to the aquarium, up to twice weekly
to benefit invertebrates and algae. For caulerpa and calcareous
algae success, also use Kent Super Iron Supplement with Manganese.
Considerations for use:
Don’t use too much, Zoe is potent! You may be used to competing
products which have lost their potency. Zoe provides bio-available
vitamins, amino acids and minerals. It provides nutrition often not
available in dry, frozen or even live food sources. Contains high
dosages of algae, especially spirulina, which provide natural
vitamins and minerals not available from other sources. For maximum
results, also add Kent Essential Elements to the aquarium water
weekly. For invertebrate success, use Kent KALKWASSER MIX and Coral-Vite.
For caulerpa and calcareous algae success, also use Kent Super Iron
Supplement with Manganese.
Contents:
L-Ascorbic Acid 2-Sulfate Dipotassium Dihydrate, Vitamin A
Propionate, Vitamin A Palmitate, D-Activated animal sterol ( D3),
Folic Acid, Choline Chloride, Niacin, d-Pantothenic Acid, Thiamine
(B1), Pyridoxine (B6), Riboflavin (B2), Vitamin B12, d-Biotin,

Iodine
Kent Marine Super Iodine Supplement provides bio-available iodine to
reef inhabitants. Although present in salt mixes, iodine is rapidly
used up in the system, and removed through protein skimming, ozone
and filtration. Super Iodine Supplement supplies iodine needed for
proper growth and health of invertebrates and algae. It contains a
safe, stabilized form of iodine which will not destroy system
bacteria, as some competing products will. It contains no organic
forms of iodine which can pollute the system. Kent Marine Super
Iodine Supplement is a proven performer!
|
 |
Directions:
Add 1 teaspoon (1 capful or 5 ml) per 50 gallons (190 l) every week
or 8 drops each day.
Considerations for use:
1) First use an excellent grade of synthetic marine salt (of course
Kent Sea Salt is the finest available, but there are some other
excellent salts on the market). Some salts are made from evaporated
seawater and contain dead plankton and other heavy organics that
will foul the water from the beginning. Cheap salt is no bargain!
For optimum results, use water prepared by reverse osmosis
(particularly in mini-reefs), however dechlorinated tap water will
work.
2) Use Kent Marine Aquarium pH BUFFER or Superbuffer-dKH to maintain
alkalinity at about 10 dKH (do not allow it to go below 8 and don’t
exceed 12). This will provide proper pH stability, and still not
cause heavy precipitation of important minerals, such as calcium and
strontium.
3) Use Kent Kalkwasser Mix, Concentrated Liquid Calcium, or
Turbo-Calcium to supply needed calcium. Use Strontium and Molybdenum
or Turbo-Strontium to provide heavy amounts of strontium. Kent
Coral-Vite will supply rubidium, lithium, barium and other important
minerals as well as essential vitamins to the reef. Coral-Vite,
Essential Elements and this product are designed to work together in
a reef environment.
4) Use reverse osmosis water for topping off for evaporation.
5) Use this product regularly to maintain proper iodine levels, to
replace that which will be used by fish and algae and removed by
skimming, ozone, and filtration.
Contents:
Deionized water, iodide salts, stabilizers.

Strontium and Molybdenum
Strontium & Molybdenum Supplement provides bio-available strontium
for lush growth of purple, pink and green calcareous algaes, snails,
hard tube worms and clams. Magnesium is added to make up for
deficiencies in some of the newer brands of sea salt mixes.
Potassium & molybdenum are added to assist the symbiotic algae
growing in coral and other invertebrates tissues. Corals will open
more and stay attached to their skeletons better, with regular use.
Phosphate & nitrate free! Contains no gluconates, EDTA, or other
organics to raise DOC levels, as many competing products do. For
best results, Use Kent Kalkwasser Mix, or Concentrated Liquid
Calcium first.
|
 |
Directions:
Add one teaspoon (capful or 5 ml) per 50 gallons (190 l) of tank
capacity. Adding more than the recommended amount of Strontium &
Molybdenum Supplement is generally very safe and can be beneficial
in many cases, particularly when you have heavy animal loads. If you
decide to increase the dosage, just read the cautions below, and cut
back should any adverse reactions be noticed.
Considerations for use:
Excessive usage may result in rapid strontium compound precipitation
and deposits which can possibly be destructive to pumps and other
sensitive system equipment and can also deplete system alkalinity
(although this is unlikely). This can endanger a stable pH, and pH
may fall. Caution is therefore advised, and proper buffering via
regularly measuring alkalinity (carbonate hardness or KH), and
adjusting with Kent Marine Superbuffer-dKH or Kent Marine Marine
Aquarium pH Buffer is absolutely necessary. For best results adjust
system KH to 10 dKH with Superbuffer-dKH or Marine Aquarium pH
Buffer. Use Kent Kalkwasser Mix, Concentrated Liquid Calcium or
TURBO CALCIUM to keep proper calcium levels. Use Kent Coral-Vite to
add important trace minerals and vitamins for corals!
Contents:
Deionized Water, and strontium, magnesium, potassium and molybdenum
salts.
Precautions:
First Aid: If in eyes, flush with water for 15 minutes. If ingested,
drink water. Call a physician immediately! KEEP OUT OF REACH OF
CHILDREN!
